On Campus Staff
Franciess is the Executive Director of On Campus and Alumni Employment Supports, and has been with the initiative since 1993. She holds a Community Rehabilitation degree from the University of Calgary, as well as a Rehabilitation Practitioner diploma from Grant MacEwan College. Franciess has over twenty-five years of experience in her field—from family support, advocacy, and independent living/housing co-ops, to extensive experience working with individuals with profound disabilities—but her main passion is in the area of Inclusive Education. Franciess is also a passionate advocate and foster parent for S.C.A.R.S. (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society). When she isn’t advocating for inclusive education, you can find her at the dog park with her numerous four-legged rescue friends.
Deanna is a graduate of the Rehabilitation Practitioner Program at Grant MacEwan College. A senior member of the On Campus team, Deanna has been with the program since 1994. She is a Student Advisor and Educational Facilitator, but also doubles as the Office Administration Manager. An actively-involved Super-Mom of four (including twin girls), she has had plenty of practice with multi-tasking throughout the years! When she isn’t advocating for her students, you can find her volunteering with her Community League, shuttling her brood to their various sports and extra-curriculars, and ironing her superhero cape!
Ben is an Educational Facilitator with On Campus. He is a graduate from the Dundalk Institute of Technology receiving an Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion and Physical Activity in Dundalk, Ireland. Ben has worked with On Campus for nearly five years. Initially he started with On Campus as a Personal Facilitator before accepting the position of Educational Facilitator one year later. Working one-on-one with students in the program has prepared Ben to handle any challenge that may be faced as an Educational Facilitator. Apart from having a passion for inclusive education, Ben is an avid Obstacle Course Racer and you can often find him out on the trail for a run!
Alumni Support Staff
Sarah Lintick is a veteran to the Alumni Employment Supports Program, holding the position of Employment facilitator since 2008. Prior to Alumni Employment Supports, Sarah was going to school and working in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Not sure of her own passions at the time, Sarah often found herself volunteering with Disability Support programs and desiring something more. Once making the decision to uproot her life to Edmonton, she has never looked back. Since joining Alumni Employment Supports, Sarah has flourished in the inclusive employment initiative and we are proud to have such a dynamic and influential individual on our team. Sarah is currently on maternity leave after welcoming twins Ellie and Zyler in the Spring of 2017.
Miranda recently joined the Alumni Employment Supports team to cover Sarah's maternity leave. With nearly five years' experience as an Educational Facilitator for On Campus, Miranda is enjoying the challenges of the flip side of the program, working as an Employment Facilitator with the graduates (some of whom were her former students). She also serves as the On Campus & Alumni Employment Supports Communications Officer. Miranda holds a B.A. in English from York University and has lifelong personal and volunteer experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. When she isn't playing with her husband, daughter, and rescue pup, she enjoys creative writing and curling up with a good book.
Jenessa joins Alumni Employment Supports as an Employment Facilitator fresh from the Social Work program at Grant MacEwan University. Her background is in working with both children and the vulnerable sector, and while disability services is a new endeavour, the transition has been effortless and it is apparent she has found her calling. She is passionate about advocacy, and when she isn't off fighting to change the world, you'll find her spending time with her family, particularly her adorable niece!
